I am ahead of myself today, at least as far as Newsbreak scheduling goes. My latest article is done but the stats on my previous article Paul LePage And Paul Coulombe's Public-Private Relationship With The Boothbay Peninsula are still increasing.
I had an idea that if I published a new story it would stop the distribution of the existing story, but the only way to know what happens is to publish the new story and so I did and then went swimming.
When I returned the stats for the published story had not changed at all while the new story is listed as “under review” with one impression and one view. Normally a story has to be published before there are any impressions and views, although this anomaly did occur once before. It’s been sitting like that for hours now. Another mystery. How long will this go on?
I was inspired to write my most recent article due to a comment I made in the Boothbay Register that the moderator deleted, and as I was writing the story I realized that Newsbreak grants any voice a presence that cannot be censored at the local level allowing one to interject one’s own “review” of the local housing, working environment, and ordinances into the community narrative. And so I did.
Hmmm after many hours, the stats on my published article have started moving again. What goes on here?
OK! now my new story is published so far with one impression and one view, not enough data to know if this will be another one-to-one stats- or with public stats. I get new followers and shares with the latter. I need to build my mobile followers. I wish every share was a follow but I love to see shares anyway.
This is the latest food for thought:
The Future of Work is Remote So What Then is the Future of Housing and Community Development?
