The Boothbay Register deleted one of my comments again, In the sense that it needed editing, I don’t mind that it is deleted, but I do mind the excuse that it was because the comment included a web link. I had noticed that the link function is now included in the Boothbay Register comment app, so I thought that meant we could use it! If we can’t, don’t make it available!
I re-created the essential ideas in the comment as a NewsBreak post, and have included the post below. It introduces my vision for the future economic development of the peninsula within the context of the fifty-million dollar school proposal and contrasts the two approaches. It is not easy to integrate a personal point of view into a public conversation. If the Boothbay Register had not deleted my post, I would probably not have confronted the looming challenge. I was 50-50 on whether NewsBreak would love it or hate it.
