FB, with the strong arm of the government and manipulation of the algorithms has power over ‘the people’. The onslaught of opponents of your view were herded your way. Any potential proponents of your viewpoint were steered away.
As indicated by the comments, I think the herd was created by local forces not Facebook. I comment frequently on local political issues and that was mentioned. A great thing about this Town is that the local Newspaper functions as a true fourth estate and does not censor speech. I take full advantage of that as it is the only place where I can actually have a voice. I think these are people who do not themselves comment in the paper about local issues and hate that I do.
